Brokeback Mountain

I didnt know what to expect from this movie, when I heard that it had been highlighted for oscars and many golden globe nominations, and yet I was intrigued, because I knew it was a storyline that was heavily in the 'news' because of the story featuring two cowboys with a strong gay sex scene.

But what i found was that the subtly doesnt lie in the fact that it is about that, but as the subtitle states "love is a force of nature" - and i read somewhere that it is "simply an ageless, timeless, heart warming and heart breaking love story" - I have to agree with that. By making it a story between two men, it defies many areas, like ethnicity and also for the 60's, in a time that was considered to be wrong for passion between men, the movie isnt simply about that, but actually manages to brigde, cultures, genders, and ethnicities, to show that life is all but about happiness.

I went away with the reminded that love and life are all but the same thing. Either one of them can vanish without warning, and its about holding on, holding on to what you believe in and love, and not being afraid, because, the worst thing in life is regret.

Definetly see this one, for it might even give you the courage to follow your heart, and the path that is lies with your happiness.
